What is a shower steamer?

A shower steamer is a small, tablet-like product infused with essential oils. When placed on the shower floor, it dissolves and releases aromatic steam, creating a spa-like experience with therapeutic benefits.

Do shower steamers work?

Shower steamers work by dissolving in the shower's warm water, releasing essential oils into the steam. This creates an aromatic experience that can provide relaxation, invigoration, or other therapeutic benefits, similar to aromatherapy.

What is the difference between a shower steamer and a bath bomb?

A shower steamer is designed for use in the shower and releases essential oils into the steam for aromatherapy benefits when dissolved by water on the shower floor. A bath bomb is used in the bath, fizzing and dissolving to release fragrances, colors, and skin-conditioning ingredients into the bathwater.

How long do shower steamers last in the shower?

Shower steamers typically last for one shower, dissolving within 5 to 10 minutes. The duration can vary based on the size of the steamer and the water flow. Some larger steamers or those placed away from direct water flow may last longer.

Where should a steamer be placed in a shower?

A shower steamer should be placed on the shower floor, but not directly under the main water stream. Position it at the edge or near the back of the shower where it will get splashed by water, allowing it to dissolve slowly and release its essential oils into the steam.

How many times can you use a shower steamer?

A shower steamer is typically designed for single use and lasts for one shower session. However, the exact duration can vary based on its size and placement. Some larger steamers or those not fully dissolved may provide aromatic benefits for an additional shower.

How to use a shower steamer:

A shower steamer is a bath bomb for your shower, releasing aroma as it’s activated by water. Simply place your steamer in the shower where you’re sure water will hit it, and let it do its thing. For best use, avoid the direct flow of the water so it will not dissolve as quickly. Each tube contains 10 shower steamers, and each steamer will last the length of one shower. Although your steamers will not expire, the scent can dissipate over time if not kept in an airtight container. These are not designed to go in your bath or on the skin.

Sustainability:

Shower steamers save water when compared to a bath bomb. On average, a bath requires 50 gallons of water, while a shower uses 2.5 gallons per minute. So, a 10-minute shower using one of our steamers will use half the amount of water and provide the same spa-like atmosphere! Additionally, If we all cut our shower time by one minute, we would save 165 billion gallons of water annually. That's almost 250,000 Olympic-size swimming pools!

Shower Steamers

They smelled terrific upon arrival and once out of the box also were fragrant. Sadly, the lovely smell does not last very long- even once the steamer is in the shower.
